I would be remiss if I didn't honor the good [insert time frame here].
After all, many people don't think they "should" have a good day, for this or that reason.
It's not weird. It's just a question, feeling, wonder. So, I write:
Maybe it IS a good day
Or, a great week
Or, hell... an amazing year.
It's your timeframe of good--
There is no right or wrong amount of good in this ode.
You do you.
Give yourself permission to have a
good [moment, minute, hour, day, week, month, year].
Have the audacity to have a good day.
It doesn't matter what's going on around you
or in the world
or wherever.
Maybe it's overwhelmingly good
unbearably giddy or
just plain wonderful.
You know what?
Own that good day.
Have that good day.
OWN.THAT.BITCH.
Let society judge you
There is no reason not to have a good day.
It IS wonderful
and "normal" (what that
is)...
and healthy...
and acceptable to have a good [moment, hour, day, month, year]..
As a therapist, I ask people why
they think it is not okay to feel a good for a [moment, hour, day or week].
What on Earth could be bad about good?
Good [timeframes] deserve an ode, too.
Why the hell not celebrate a good [timeframe]?
Be a taco.
Almost everyone loves tacos.
They are colorful and tasty and varied.
They can be crunchy or soft
You can carry them with you
You can share them.
No one questions tacos.
Well, as much as you can question a
taco.
Damn, they are fabulous
And so are you.
Having a good [timeframe] works for me.
Smile, laugh, giggle, dance.
That good time may be fleeting so enjoy it.
I am a HUGE fan of having a good [moment, minute, hour, day, week, month, year]
when it swoops upon me
I embrace it, love it, thank it
Here and now.
Oh, you fabulous, naughty, soothing, shiny, happy timeframe...
I see you hanging around those I adore.
Celebrated, no matter the reason
Dare to be happy or silly or joyous.
Here's to your good [moment, minute, hour, day, week, month, year].
